I just can't design a ported box

How in the hell do I do this? I think I know how but it's not coming out right... I am making a box for two JBL GT5 12s for my brother. It's gonna be 3.5 after port+subs tuned to 32hz. I have the box 45 inches wide 9 inches deep and 23.5 inches tall... After wood 43.5, 7.5, 22. That's 4 cubes. Now designing the port I have no clue. I've never designed a ported box before...

I'm using this site: Port Length Calculator

The box is a sub on each side and a port in the middle...

It's saying I have to have like a 90 inch long port and I know that can't be right... Can someone please help?

not sure what you are doing for your calculations man, 22 height, 45 width and 7.5 depth is only 3.1 cubic feet gross after accounting in the thickness of 3/4 mdf

after port and sub displacement you'll end up around 1.6-1.8 cubic feet.

Use a combination of winisd, and torres box calculator along with reading guidelines for a ported box on digital designs website and soundqubed's website.

Subtract 1.5 inches from Length, width and height then multiply all of them together then divide by 1728

yeah that's what I'm doing... before wood is 45x23.5x9, after wood is 43.5x22x7.5...

with a 45x23.5x9 with a .75" thick wood, you'll get 4.15, a 2x22 port with length 22.42 gives you 3.37 net before sub displacement

if I'm doing my math right, if I'm wrong please correct me
