I am confused on RE's sub specs!

how thick is the material?

And yes you have to subtract the size of your driver to get net volume

With no driver installed you box is

1.89CF internal with 1" thick material

2.11CF internal with .75" thick material

The guy are RE said it is 2.1 because it is 3/4" material. He said my only hope is to port it but him explaining to me what needs done is like talking to a wall. I need two 3" ports at each end going all the way to the back and then into a 90 but **** if I could understand what I needed to do after the 90. Supposedly this will give me 30-31 Hz tuning I believe. Hopefully it will sound better. Wonder is this still works with my amp power?

I've e-mailed them several times and gotten no response //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Also I thought the website said those 12" RE's needed like 150w rms not 600w. I didn't think they were in that power range.
The 12" RE's do only need 150-200w RMS.

Its the SE 12" that needs 600w RMS.

Now I am a little pissed off here. I am dealing with a new audio shop that is close to home instead of the one that did my initial install and I went over it with him what I discovered about my box being too big. He said he saw it last time but didn't want to say anything... but agreed to help me fix it today. Since the sub is centered he is lopping off about 6" on each end to give me 1.0 cubic ft. He said it should play tighter but may not be as loud.

While I was there he stripped the carpet off my box and then what was under it had me upset. It was just glued together! No screws, no liquid nails and still had build garbage in it! This guy is going to fix all of that for me while fixing it. He said eventually it would have come apart! I will never go back to that shop again. On my truck project I want to attempt doing the entire install from beginning to end including building my own box so you guys may get tired of me asking questions but how else will I learn.
