How to wire my amp

I have a Alpine PDX-5, 4x125@4ohm and 1x437 (birth records). I have a JL10W3 on the 1x400. I have a component set of Focal 5.5", with the 5.5" in the door and the tweets in the dash. I also have room in the dash for 4", and I'm planning to put a 4" Focal mid (either Utopia or K2) in the dash.

How should I wire my amp to get the best bang for the buck?

are you unhappy with the two way set?

if so i would look into a true 3way set or maybe try 3way active if you have the processing and the spare amp channels as just adding a 4 mid that is playing the same frequencies already covered by two other speakers is going to be completely pointless unless you just want it louder.

Well, I have the extra amp channel. I don't really want to purchase a new 3 way set, given then I already have the 2-way components. And, I have the extra space...but your saying that just adding a new 4" won't really add to the system? I can use the head unit active crossover combined with the amp channel crossovers to limit frequencies, if I knew what to limit them to.

a true three way system begins with proper crossovers, either with the head unit/crossovers/ or amp(s)

you cannot just add another speaker and say its 3 way. What you would have would be 2 mids and a tweet

Don't get the extra 4" mid. It will ruin your sound quality.

You can bridge the 4 channels into two for for 250 watts for your front stage speakers, but it's not needed.

4x125? every pdx5 i have seen was rated at 4x75 with a little more over that according to the birthsheet. i have never seen one that was 66% over the advertised specs.

That is what is on the verification sheet. It is higher then I had ever seen also.
