Was looking at running one of these setups.

2 JL Audio W7 8's, 2 JL Audio W6v2 10's, 2 Fi SSD 10's, 2 Alpine Type X 10's, RE SE Series 10's, or 2 RE SX series subs.

accompanied by Alpine Type X 6.5" component speakers. My truck come stocks with infinity so i'm not sure if the alpines would really be an upgrade.

Still trying to figure out what amp to use,

I am trying trying to achieve SQ right now. Any SPL project will be later when I learn more about car audio. and will probably be with my El Camino.

Then out of that list, I'd go with the RE SE 10's as my first choice and the Fi SSD's as my 2nd choice.

Both are nice woofers, but the SE is a nice SQ subwoofer...

600 RMS per...I'd find like a Sundown 1500 or a equivalent 1500 watt monoblock and run 750-800ish watts to each one in a sealed enclosure 1 cube per side.. Should sound nice.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'd pick the W6v2s, but they're really the least of your concerns.

Installing the Type X's properly (means ditching the passives and going active), and spending the time to plan where they're going to go and tuning is really what will get you what you're looking for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was planning on replacing the stock 6X9 speakers in my door with the 6.5" component speakers, and probably leaving the stock infinity tweeter in the upper part of my door. Also considering replacing the rear 5.25" speakers behind my seat, not sure some people said not to do that and just run the door speakers off of an amp.

Also is there need for an external crossover or can the HU do that?

First step is to run an amp for the fronts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also look into sound deadening...believe me, if you want SQ, you should look into it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Was planning on looking into sound deadening. So after looking at it I am thinking of running a 250Watt 2 channel amp to the front speakers don't knwo what brand, probably alpine, with a 200 watt 2 channel amp to the rear component speakers, with a 1200 Watt two both my subs, not sure how to wire any of that though.

Looks like you could raise the back seat maybe 2 to 2-1/2" use longer seat bolts and washers and frame/mold in the under carriage cavity of that...
