get a receiver with a subwoofer output, hook that to the plate amp, hook plate amp to sub, use the front channels of the receiver for ghey *** 6x9's (really, thats a bad idea), hook tv to receiver, done

I am looking to buy a sub, set of speakers(lookin at 5.1), reciever and amp.

Budget was 500, will go up. Any recommendations on equipment?
