like this

front battery positive to fuse in engine bay then to another fuse in the trunk then to second battery.

Second battery. 2 options. you can ground it to the chassis in the trunk, or you can run another line of wire and ground it to the engine battery.

as for needing another alt. what amps are you using? what stock alt do you have? what batteries do you have?

also the seasrch button works wonders!

Ok first off man since i can tell your new first off welcome to the forums here let me help you out man. Don't run a capacitor you'll learn why from reading around on here and other's telling you. Mostly reason because it just adds to your electrical system dragging it down add a 2nd battery don't worry about the cap. But here's how you add a 2nd battery man.

Go 1/0awg wire if you can

Run a pos. wire (make sure u fuse it , try to put the fuse closest to the 2nd battery as possible) then take your power wire going into your distro block cut is put the fuse inbetween it run that wire to pos also. So you now have a total of 2 wires on that pos. side. Next take another wire and ground your 2nd battery such as take that wire put a wire terminal on the end of it whichever will fit for the wire awg that you are using make sure u sand the metal that you are grounding to , so that you get a good solid ground.and there you go you have your 2nd battery. I know your probably gonna ask why the 2nd wire from distro it helps your amps so that your lights do not dim also adding voltage for your amps.

o wow, very cool, and thxs 4 the welcome. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and, i have a sony xplode amp, 1200 watts, not sure the rms, and a pile 1400 watt i think, amp, i know, blaaa. lol im trying to fine another one. lol and im not sure on wat amperage on my alternator is, its stock, off a pontiac grand am gt.

wow....u def need to upgrade both of those amps. They dont do rated power and are just paper weights

if ur gonna go with 2 type r's, look for a amp between 1000-1400 watts, those r's can take some power

mine goes from the bat to the amp. and i have it grounded at the same spot my amp was grounded to and it works perfect

ok cool, any more pics? and, then would a hifoics amp be good? i was thinking of buying one. or what other amps would be able to power the Rs?
