Portable md player? You can use what's called an FM modulator. It takes a standard RCA input and runs it into your FM radio through the antenna. Bout $30. Can get them at most electronics stores. You'll also need a mini plug to male RCA end cable.

the AVIC was a tad more complicated to wire not to mention stuffing it in a smallish stereo hole. thanks for advice.

The end result is, not the intention. I think OP got what I was saying. The Brits generally aren't as sensitive.
A 500w sub amp does not...
