How strong are you?

i would have to disagree with you, round here in Southern Louisiana most of our local high schools and alot of college kids come work out with a guy by the name of Kurt Hester. anyways last summer they had about 4 sophmores squat 550+ kids these days are ridiculous in the weight room, if i had been serious about lifting for football i would be alot farther than i am right now. i have only worked out hardcore for one summer and throughout the year. but im just sayin there are kids out there now that are doin crazy ****in weight so i dont call bullshit on that kid
It takes at least 2 or 3 years to build up the strength to squat 400+ lbs and do it right. Ask anybody that knows anything about lifting. I don't want to hear anything about anybody squatting 400+ lbs on steroids b/c that doesn't count either.

I'll bet t hat 415 squat is a half ***** squat. Bet he doesn't go parallel with 415. Not many people can.
*** to grass squats are the only way to do it.

Anyway, I don't max out anyway. I'm trying to tone down, not bulk up. There is no need for me to know what I am capable of doing since I never do it. However, I had maxed out at 195 bench last year, so take that as you will.

You are in high school. A sophmore right? You aren't squatting no 415 going down parallel. Your balls just dropped for godsake. I see a lot of high school kids in the gym, none of them go down far enough because they want to look impressive with 3 plates on each side or whatever. There might be a 3 people in my gym that go down far enough with 400+, and they've been lifting a long time. My guess is that you go down about 45 degrees. Which is half way.
I tell you what. You drive to oklahoma, and I will personally take you to our weight room, load up 415, and squat it. Just since you have doubts.

You don't need to be on supplements to be strong...? I've been lifting since 9th grade with no breaks (until i broke my arm) and ALMOST put up 300 on bench the day before i broke it, weighing 175. There are plenty of people in my school with benches comparable to mine for their body weight, one guy is 145 and could probably do around 255 now..he's also 5'3 so i guess that helps...but you definitely don't need supplements to be strong, and i would never consider taking any form of them.

This year alone my bench max went from 225 to 275, and my squat from 325 to 415.. Dont say its impossible to squat over 400lbs. It might be for you phat, since you weigh 165, but for us guys who are more bulky/muscle mass, all it takes is dedication.

Your body weight is not what I question. What I question is your knowledge of lifting and the amount of time you have put in. I was in high school once too, I know tendacies of high schoolers and there lack of proper form. Because they are too focused on trying to put up as much as they can and tend to half *** it.

I squatted 600LBS when i was in Highschool yet i could only bench about 250. Im much less now as I dont compete in MMA or lift anymore.

I havent squat recently, but a little over a year ago i was squating 400 max, but i do run track.. Im about 275 on bench aswell, and im still under 200 pounds.

forgot to mention how tall you are as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif arm/leg length has a lot to do with how much you can bench/squat
well me, when i used to lift, 128 lbs, 6'3, bench 145, squat, i dont remember i think like 200
holy shit you were 6' 3 and 128? im like 132 and 5' 8 and bench 145, never squated but i kno i can leg press 200

**** dude 200 on the leg press? thats not good at all. Most people can press atleast 3 times their weight. I had guys weighing 230 leg pressing almost a 1000lbs in my shootfighting training camp. I was in the 800s myself. and am problably still close to that today even though i havent lifted weights in years.

I would like to see some proof here. It seems like everyone on here is benching around 250 which is a **** lot. Of course maybe only the big guys are writing into this thread. That is a possibility to. But still a guy who benches close to 300 pounds is going to be pretty **** big. I had a kid in my high school who claimed to have the world record for bench press for 16 year olds and he was massive and doing 425 pounds. I actually saw a video of it. Very impressive. So why don't some of you who bench around 300 post some videos or atleast take some pictures.
i did 425 at 17 and i have proof. but i mean if you really have to lie thats sad. not say you are. but i have a college write up if i can find it of all my lifts run times etc. it was pretty cool.

I guess you don't know the coaching staff of our football team and how strict coach cordell is with going down parallel to the thigh either do you? My 415 is legit I promise you.
