How should I go about setting my amp gains (and other settings)

I was told that resetting my amp gain would get rid of a lot of the static I've been hearing.

I have a hifonics titan and there are more knobs than I expected

There is: level - bass EQ - HPF - LPF

Also there is two of each, for the front and the rear speakers I am guessing.

I've seen a few guides on how to set the gain with a test toner and what not. But those don't cover all of the extra knobs.

How should I set these for the best performance? I really would like clarity and rich highs above all else.

Or would it be better to take it to car toys or something and have them adjust it?

Here is a makeshift map of the knobs...

Level

5v - 0.2v

Bass EQ

0db - 9db

HPF

60Hz - 1.2KHz

LPF

50Hz - 250Hz

I also have a front focal speakers w/ tweeter and crossover and rear focals as well.

A pioneer deck

And a self amplified bazooka tube.

Sorry about making this second topic but I feel it was needed.

Thanks in advance!

Level is the "gain" adjustment

Bass EQ is the "bass boost"

HPF is the "high pass filter"

LPF is the "low pass filter"

The gain is used to "match" the voltage of the amp to the voltage of the head unit

Bass boost, I never use, just leave it set to 0

HPF is used for component/co-ax speakers. Setting this only allows the frequency's above the setting to pass through to the speakers. The setting here will depend on the speakers you are using.

LPF is used for the sub. Setting this allows only the freguency's LOWER than the setting to pass through to the sub. Again, this setting will depend on the sub you are using, and the lowest frequency that it will efficiently play.

I have my HPF set for 80hz for my front comps (Morel Dotech Ovation 6)

I have my HPF set for 100hz for my rear co-ax (Arc fs6025)

I have my LPF set for 180hz for my Hertz 8" subs

I am not using any "bass boost" at all

I have not touched my gains yet...all gains are still set to minimum.
