31" Length of port

35 Hz

12.73 ft^3 Gross box volume

9 ft^3 Net box volume

3.14 Port Displacement (cubic feet)

0.6 Driver Displacement (cubic feet)

3.74 Total Displacement (cubic feet)

External: 19" x 25" x 55"

Internal: 17.5" 23.5" x 53.5"

i went with 14 in^2 per cubic foot, what would you guys recommend? ive always went with 16 per cubic foot
Well on second thought it should probably work out ok. It's always easier to make a port plug than make a port larger. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah i will run a couple dowels for bracing and some 45's in the corners. how much displacement with a 45 in each corner usually run. but does everyone think that the port area is fine, or is it to big, or what. i went with 14 per cubic foot and most reccommend 12-16 so i figured id go halfway. any more opinions?

Are you supposed to figure the port area using net volume or gross volume?

Multiply the height of the opening of the port times with width of the port.

no he means how do you figure out what your port area needs to be. also how does my design look "idesignboxes" . do you see any problems with it, with the question directed more towards to much port area or do you think it will be fine? think i will have any port noise?

What software program outputs the rendering that was posted? It looks like a lot of you are using it.
No BOX program does that. You figure out the dimensions on paper or using one of the online calculators, you then plug those dimensions into a program called Sketchup. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And no, it's not as easy as typing in a few dimensions and *bam*...enclosure. Takes a little time.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
