How many people only have front speakers?

I've got a minivan and no rear speakers. I feel sorry for my third-row passengers because they are gettin pounded by the L7, and can hardly hear the music. But up front, boy does it sound nice. It's loud as hell, too. I don't see any reason to have rears, because my fronts are loud and sound great by themselves.

Alpine Type X up front powered by 2 channels of a 7541a. Other 2 channels bridged for an Assassin 10. No rear fill. And I like it that way - stock VW Monsoon system comprised of front and rear components. No decent sound stage and imaging, and no bass. Glad to have gotten rid of it.

Depends on the car I am driving. I drive around a lot of people, so if its a 4 seater, then I will put some coaxials in the back and cut the gain on them so you can barely hear them, and then when Its just me in the car, flip a switch and kill the rear amp. Works like a charm!

I removed mine a couple months ago. No need in a small sedan. Plus, it allowed some of the pressure in my trunk to escape giving me better/more bass up front and not killing my trunk lid.

My 8" sub, 6.5" midrange and tweeters are all up front with my 2 15's in the bed of my truck. It sounds incredible and the sound surrounds you completely. There is no need for rear fill.

After lurking on this forum for a while I unhooked my rear door speakers, bridged my 4 channel amp into 2 channels and put double the power to my front components. Huge improvement in quality and quantity of sound from the front, no loss and possible small improvement from the back seat. 04 Tacoma Doublecab pickup, rear door speakers are aimed directly at the rear passengers feet, so they were no help to begin with. Biggest bummer is that I could have saved the $ for the rear door 2-ways and gotten better front components. Live and learn...
