as for the marriage thing.....why do you think the divorce rate in the US is like 60%??? do you think most americans base their marriage ont he priciples of God(I didnt and im a statistic now....)? i would have to say no......and go figure.....most of them end in divorce........as you said....God is the one to seek in regards to your relationship......"marriage" in the US is just a piece of paper.....marriage in a spiritual sense is the combining of two souls into one......and jesus himself says what God has joined let man not seperate......but honestly i am not really in the mood to argue chrisitianity today....

Mike, hey...If u ever get a chance, send me an IM over AOL. im usually on all day or email me sometime....I promise you, it kinda hit me the other day. Why does a piece of paper matter. And with the divorce thing, i had the exact same thought and i told my G/f the same thing....By all means, i definately dont want to argue.. Just want others opinions. So if u dont mind Iming me or sending me a email with your full thoughts on that subject feel free.... It's post's like that, and many more, that just make anyone sound uneducated. The thread was HOW MANY OF YOU ARE SAVED.. Not your opinion on church, etc.... It's a yes, or no question.

And to answer the question, yes, I am.

Holy crap that was a lot of reading. OK in my opinion, there is only one GOD. You worship him however you want. F_ck all the people that say my way is the wrong way i must do it like them. I hate that crap, i thought someone like Jesus taught people to be tolerant. If you are worshiping if Jesus is the savior, then where is that tolerance? You can't go say everything but your own is wrong. I was raised in a Christian religion. My father is the minister of the church we belong to. When i was young i was never forced to go to church, it was always a choice. Crap i haven't even read the f-ing book the bible. I was never forced to, like so many people. Crap I couldn't even tell you the premise and beliefs of my church if i wanted to. Our ministers act as guides they to no "preach" the correct way.

I am starting to think like a lot of the more older religions that Jesus was a Prophet and not the Savior. Makes more sense like that to me. But whatever to each their own.

The world will end when we humans kill each other or the sun explodes. Both of which are a long way off. I don't see some ever loving God condemning everybody in one mighty act, it ain't going to happen.

Also, in my belief, God loves all. There is no hell, there is only heaven.

I believe in that last part. Why would god give man a choice and then say that the choice a man took was wrong and **** him. Why would god create something evil? So many questions, so few answers.

Kind of off subject, but I'm doubting that the first one is too far off in all actuality. Albert Einstein once said "I don't know what world war 3 will be fought with, but world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones." I think we're getting ever so close to the world war 3 days.

World War three..... Well to have a world war you need almost, if not, all the super powers in conflict.

What are today's super powers:

China.......Very interested in economic expansion. Given their current state i don't think they have much to grumble about. At least not enough to go to war.

Russia......Very disorganized even still. They aren't really intereseted in terretory expansion either.

U.S., Britain, France, Germany and the rest of the E.U. are basically alliess.

The only hot spots are the Middle East, all of which combined still wouldn't be that much of a threat.

North Korea, very hot, but who is on his side? China i don't think is. I know Russia isn't. If he starts something alot of contries will jump on him.

Europe, i.e. afgan, etc. These places are f_cked up, but still all the little countries combined can't do much.

Now all of this changes with nuclear weapons. All the sane people know not to use them. I think N. Korea wants them just for the intemedation factor(just like everybody else), not to use them in any fashon. I think terroists will be the first people to deploy a nuclear weapon. Terrorists not just Osama. Any country worth anything knows better than to use nuclear weapons, just for the economic downfall that the world would see afterward.

We used to be allies, however now...they all hate us, everybody hates america. Now, you're going to come back and say that Britain is our ally even in the "war on terror" but in all actuality, their people hate the way our country is being run right now, and do not approve of this war.

I'm saved, I'm not perfect nor will I ever be. Not going to make a big deal out of it, casue someone who believes different will just try and poke holes in "Christainity" I stand by a statement i have made a couple times on here. The is a HUGE difference between "Christaindum" and true Christainity. Most of the US would porbably consider them self to be a christain, they go to church on easter and chirstmas. To them makes them christains. Many believe sitting in church makes them a chirstain. Well i say, sitting in church makes you no more a christian then sitting in a garage makes you a car. True Christainity is found in only 1 place, thats Christ. If you don't believe that i pray that you will change but i can't force it. This is what i believe to be the truth, i know the mojority won't agree with me but that is to be expected. You are your own person, I jsut pray God will make you the person he wants you to be...

I'm agnostic. I'm in a loving relationship, which, as long as it continues (no reason to think it won't), we will get married soon after college. I plan on marrying, and NOT divorcing. I DO NOT just think of marrage as a "piece of paper".

It's not hard to NOT be religious and still think that marrage should be taken seriously.

I agree with kicker to a very large extent. I personally do not know whether or not I believe in a higher power, but if there is one I have faith that he does not want us to, or rather need us to, sit in church to acknowledge that he exists and live a fulfilling life. I believe that if there is truly a god, those who live good lives and are role models to those around them will go to heaven, he doesn't need us to sit in a building on Sunday to be christians.
