Apologies for the self serving usage of deebeez, i knew people would click on a post with such a lame title.
As all of you are quite aware, i'm sure, i've been on here the last few days/weeks/months *****ing about how much $$$ and time and effort i've put into trying to get these stupid l7's loud,
there was the first box, 4.5 cf net per driver, 42hz.... end result:
needless to say, things didn't work out between us...
then the second box, 4.5cf net per driver, 33hz.. just got it installed friday:
and i'm just still not getting the kind of output i expected from 2 15's.... especially disappointed with the lows compared to my type-x's....
my question is, how much output could i be losing due to the port only being 2-3 inches from the hatch? wondered if anyone has had much luck/change in output spinning an enclosure such as above ^^ around 360 degrees?
wanted to get some opinions FIRST, because it's gonna require a TON of work... the box doesn't have terminals, so i've got my amplifier mounted on the rear of the box, behind the seat, and have the 8 gauge speaker wires drilled, pulled, and caulked directly into the box:
so i don't even know what i'd do to be able to spin the box at this point, i'm almost completely out of my 50 foot spool of 0-gauge!! ^^ there's like 10 feet right there! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
i'm just getting incredibly frustrated, and trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong... if i have to start all over at this point, i'm just gonna get a pair of type-r's from best buy so i can get the warranty and just take my frustrations of all these setups and $$ down the drain out on them...... BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
