How many deebeez am i losing?

before you put the x's back in id try a big *** box for 1 of the 15's with alot bigger port and see how that is
agreed. me and another forum member built a box for his 15'' L7 and it was somewhere around 3.5-4 cf(i cant remember the exact number //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif ) for one 15. i think 4.5 for 2 15's is just way too small. just a thought...

i have one L7 15 06 model in a 5.6cuft box tuned @ 34hz on a directed 1500d running @ 2ohms 800 watts 2 weeks ago a went to local bass comp and hit a 147 i aqm planning on getting a bigger amp or selling my daul 4ohm and get a daul 2 so i can run my amp 2 1ohm 1200 watts it should really put out some bass but like the other poster said try 1 sub big box

i'm also planning on turning the box around, and firing the port into the cabin.

just for grins, i opened the tailgate today, and they're much much louder...

i think the port velocity's just so great coming out of that little port, that it's just rattling the hatch like crazy, and i'm losing a lot, and adding a lot of nastiness...

like i said before, tho, i'm gonna have to figure out how to turn the box around now that i have those speaker holes drilled in the box.

if that doesn't work out for me, i'll be sure to try one sub in a big box

i've been working on my woodworking skills, so hopefully i'll be able to build myself new boxes for both sets of subs.

i'd love to put the x's in a sealed box for a SQ setup for when i'm feeling subdued

if for now i just designed a port plug, not just a cover, but an actual box to fill the port, is my current box too big to seal the l7's for the time being?

i really don't feel like uninstalling all my amps and pulling that box out this weekend, and the l7's do sound much much better with the hatch open anyways, so it'd be a temp. fix.

plus i took the type-x's out of their box to get them out easier, it would be an undertaking to say the least.

Is any of those components in the pic running through the L7's? If so you might just want to try and run the subs straight through the amp.

You should be able to watch the excursion and tell if it's getting enough power. If it's pounding and you aren't getting loud, then I'd get somebody that knows how to build an enclosure. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
