how many batts would i need to run a audiopipe ap3000?

$250 is a good price for a good H.O. alt. What kind you going with?

Yeah go with the H/O alt because when your alt starts whining and bearings start going bad you will wish you would have done it sooner.

i wouldnt recommend kinetik tho. my batt was cheaper and MUCH more powerful than a kinetik 2000....

We just got done with a system that has a kinetik KR5112 up front and a KR1212 in back on an AP 1800 and it doesn't dip under 12.5 on a stock alt also have another set up in a crx that has 2 apx 3500 on 2 HC2400. The crx has a bad head gasket so it doesnt get much play other than burps. I would say that if you are running a stock alt, you would need a couple big batts per amp. I had one on 2 C&D which is 270ah and I dont recall the cca's, but they seemed to do the trick. Demoing however drained them pretty quick....

So I noticed throughout this entire thread not one time was the rating on your alternator mentioned other than it's "stock".

Stock is a very vague word, I know cars that come with 80 amp alty's and ones with 140's

Clarify if you want a precise answer
