Because the voltage does what it wants and I would like to keep my voltage steady full tilt lol

If you are referring to an aftermarket amplifier power source, it's not controlled by the PCM. Wiring is direct from the battery to amplifier. The amplifier controls the power. Your stereo control the signal to the amplifier, and the PCM controls the signal that turns the radio on. Not sure if it controls the power or signal output of your stereo.

Best option is to buy a proper high output alternator that is internally regulated.

Or stick with older vehicles that don't have stupid shit like that.
