I've looking around this forum for a while now and have gotten some ideas on what I should look for in a sub, but I'm looking for some more opinions and advice, anything is welcome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Car: Subaru Forester
HU: Alpine CDA-9886
Front: Polk DB6501
Rear: Nothing
Amp: Alpine MRP-F450 (2 channels for front speakers, 2 channels bridged for amp, 200W RMS@4Ohm)
Sub: JL 10W0v2 in a prefabed ported box.
Obviously it doesn't sound very good to me right now. I can feel the bass, but it's very muddy, boomy, and hurts my ears.
I'm looking for SQ way over SPL. I listen to Rock and Pop mostly.
I can only feed 200W RMS@4Ohm to the sub.
I've got a short list of subs based on my needs and others' reviews:
- ID
- IDQ
- Infinity Kappa Perfect
- DIYMA
What do you guys think? Are these subs pretty close SQ wise? Again, I can only feed 200W RMS@4Ohm to the sub.
Thanks in advance.
