help with setup please!!

i have a 1998 gmc jimmy and want to upgrade my speakers and everything. i have some ideas for everything i want but not sure what the best setup is. i would like good sq, also. for my head unit i was thinking about a Valor ITS-700W, a Dual XDVDN9131, a Absolute ATV-860, or a Clarion NZ409. for speakers i was thinking about Polk Audio db651, Kicker KS65, Kicker KS650, or Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X1710. and for subs i was thinking about 2 12" MTX Audio JackHammer, 2 12" MTX Audio Terminator, 1 or 2 15" Alpine SWR-1522D, or 1 or 2 15" Volfenhag ZX4725. both the MTX's come with a box. i'm not sure what kind of amps to get for the speakers or the subs so if you could help me out with that i would appreciate it. i'm also not sure what combination of all these to use. also, i don't know what wires to use so suggestion would be helpful, and any other suggestion you have would be great. if you need any other information just ask and i will be glad to help.

I like Alpine HUs and out of those sub choices I would go with the Type Rs. But before you do anything I suggest researching as much as possible.

Lets start with the top of the list.... The Valor and Clarion units would be ok, you'll most likely be better off staying away from anything Dual.... The speakers you listed are just fine if it's your first system, we'd all recommend looking at component sets but the coax's would do you well enough... Now, the subs.... STAY AWAY from the Volfenhag's, anything Volfenhag. I've seen better built equipment from Radioshack. MTX's are okay again if this is your first system, so are the Alpine's...

Now, you won't want to hear this but SAVE YOUR MONEY... you'll be better off saving and spending it on equipment that is better built and suited to your needs.... but if you can't wait, do some more research, before you buy, there's plenty of "budget" level stuff out there that's better than what you listed....

get a audioque1200d there 229.00 shipped and one 15inch fi bl tune to 32 hz.

i say forget the car audio thing and think about where u will b in the next 6-9 months. go ahead and save your money.

i would like to spend around $750- about $1000 on my system maybe a lil more and this is my first system

Seeing that this is your first set up id say start with a quality HU I prefer Alpine and Pioneer. There are usually some good deals on good quality HU's around the classified section. Next i would think would be the mids and highs. Now here is a link to a set of 6.5 componets. Mind you these are just a few suggestions and it keeps you under 1k but there are better options but i choose u some decent stuff thats respectable

just got my license today so hopefully i can atleast get some good speakers in there soon so i can listen to music cuz i only got 2 speakers workin right now
