i have a pioneer champion series 10" 1000 watt max and 350 RMS (dual voice coil)

however my amp GM-5100t runs 380 RMS bridged... should i run the sub bridged or should i just run it at half power? =[

i'd like the full potential of the sub but not if it's going to blow it.

also, usually RMS is half. why is it about 1/3 of the wattage of the max?

ok... i'm honesetly not a troll they **** me off. this is just my absolute first car audio project or anything...

what exactly is a multi meter?

and i'm not dumb, just not well versed in car audio at all.

so basically just hook the amp and sub up, leave the gain and bass boost and the lowest it will go and chill?

dont use bass boost. If you dont have a multimeter, it can be hard for a noob to correctly set an amp by ear..Definately do not turn the gain past halfway if you do not know what you are doing.
