So I have two JL 12W6V2 subs in a sealed enclosure. I had them running to a crappy RE Audio amp, and they sounded awesome, but the amp was defective, and completely fried. Today I got a new amp, the Kenwood Kac-8105D monoblock amp. I had Best Buy install it, and I dont think the guy wired it correctly. He tried to wire these subs to 2 Ohms, but i dont think that would be a good idea for these subs. I asked him if it would work and he said yes. These subs are dual coil 4 Ohm subs, and i dont want to end up damaging them or not using them to their full potential. The amp is 300 X 1 RMS at 4 ohms and 500 X 1 RMS at 2 ohms. I wanted to see what you guys thought would be the best way to wire these. The RMS for each sub is 300-600 I believe. Thanks!!
