Help With My First System

it will be hard to keep it under 450 for subs and an amp unless you get used ,but dc lvl 3 subs or american bass woofers American Bass - XD 1044. 125 each.as for the amp , the alpine is decent still
Okay well I suppose I could spring for a JL Audio with 300 RMS, but I can't afford anything above a 300 RMS Alpine amp. Would 150 RMS per woofer be able to power them adequately? :\

If you have 2 subs with single 4 ohm coils, you want your amp to do rated power at 2 ohms, not 4. Not sure what amp your looking at exactly, but it's something to check into.

Hmm, I'm looking at a 1000w Peak Alpine amp that runs 300w @ 4 Ohms, 500w @ 2 Ohms.

So you're saying in this instance, my best pick is 2 subs running 250 RMS @ 4 Ohms each?

You are fine if the amp is 2 ohm stable, as that will be the load you are running. As long as your amp settings are done correct, you should be set with the gear you picked.
