just got this volt meter in the mail and its only got neg and pos. no remote wire,,, will this run my batt down or do i need to get a switch or something

toggle switch for sure.

or wire it into the pos. switch in your fuse box. it will turn on when the vehicle turns on then.

cool, thanks, also should the wire i run be really short for it or does it mater,,,,, could i just run it from the - and+ of my eq

Run to any hot wire that goes off when the key is turned off. Think of things that have a fuse in the fuse box but dont work with out the key on (Windshield Wipers ect)

if you have a 2nd battery what i heard is its better off to un from the 2nd battery instead of fuse box of the car
