Help with head unit wiring!

Well, I have been trying to install a Kenwood DNX5140 and have run into a problerm! I wired everything up and im not getting power to the unit. So I checked my yellow and red power wires going into the harness and I am not getting voltage to the red ignition wire. That would explain why im not getting power to the unit, but now i dont know where to begin to fix it. My old head unit was stolen a few months ago, so im guessing in the process of them yanking everything out something had to of happend to that red wire. As far as i can follow that red wire behind the dash I see no open point, so im lost and could use any help! Thanks

What vehicle? Are you using a harness or are you hacking it up?

Its an 07 F150 and im using a harness. Im just not getting voltage to the harness on the red ignition wire. The 20 amp fuse is not blown at the fuse panel and im getting voltage to the fuse panel as well. Im guessing my only options here are to run a new wire from the ignition to the harness or find a wire diagram and trace the wire all the way out. Unless im missing something that somebody else knows, thats all I can do. And if i do run a new wire from the ignition..how do i tap into the ignition?

Either, find a wire somewhere near the radio in the dash that is 12v switched (has no power with the key in OFF position, 12v with key in RUN/ACC position) and tap into that wire with the new wire, or check that the radio fuse at the panel is 12v switched and buy a fuse tap (http://www.amazon.com/Littelfuse-FHA200BP-ATO-Add-A-Circuit-Kit/dp/B0002BGELQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1262086274&sr=8-3, can be bought at a local stereo shop, you may need one for the mini fuses if that what the F150 takes (pretty sure it does)) to attach there....

Just run a new line from the ignition to your harness to the hu.
