how do u do a big 3 on a 99 civic?

how I do it, I guess it would be the "Big4" in my case...

from you battery to you alternator

from your battery to your chassis

from your battery to you engine block

from you chassis to your engine block

 
well i know how to do it!

i didnt know what to wire wat to!

no you dont, sorry, not trying to be a dick, it is the same on every car ever made in the history of cars, if you knew how to do it then you wouldnt have started a thread

actually no they dont, pop your hood, are your motor mounts solid steel? unless you have a custom built drag car then I doubt it. Your engine grounds through the bolts that go through your motor mounts to the chassis, and it always isnt the best. If you want to get real technical then you should also ground your alt to your chassis, it bolts to a bunch of brackets that bolt to the engine then try to ground through rubber bushings, then to your chassis. Of course every car can or cannot have a problem there.

I dont think im understanding or you are not, battery to engine block and battery to chassis is not the same thing. In a perfect world it would be. But your engine is connected to the chassis through brackets and rubber motor mounts. The grounds work fine for factory stuff but not a high powered stereo system.

I'm not saying they are, you must be misunderstanding me.

Take the chassis to engine block wire. Imagine a point half way in that wire and stretch the wire to connect that point to the battery while leaving the original ends connected. What do you have? 2 wires; 1 is a chassis to battery, 1 is an engine block to battery.

Get it?

 
if you pop your hood you will see a ground wire going from your engine to chassis on the right side of the engine. there is also one on the left side from your transmission to chassis(you have to take off the airbox to see this connection)

alt to batt is self explanitory. batt to chassis is self explanitory.
