Help with first setup!

Im building a system and would like to spend around $600 for subs, amp and box. What would the best choices be. I want good sq but i also want them to be loud. Please help me.

What size subs? What size trunk do you have to work with

Probably 2 12's. I have a lexus sc400.

If I were you, I'd go for a single 15" sub... I'd suggest a 15" Fi SSD, found here.

Get an amp like a Kicker ZX750.1

Get an amp kit like this one

...and build your own box

Thx for the help. When i bought the car it came with 3 Gravity 12's, a Gravity 2800w amp and another gravity amp on the other side of the box but i dont know what kind it is. I want to sell these and buy a new system how much can i get for these things? I will be able to spend more money if i can sell these things.

edit: also, would one 15" be very loud?

Honestly, I don't know because I don't know what in the world Gravity is nor do I know what it's worth. Just sell it to some hood ninja or a pawn shop or something.

Go for the Fi sub and Kicker amp, they ought not disappoint. BTW, I know the Kicker is only rated for 750w, but I've installed a few of em, and their birthsheets read ~940w.

yea one 15 should be good enough.

15's get plenty loud for a DD...my SX kicked my ***...

but i second the FI sub, nice budget sub hell i'd even look into a 15 R those can get pretty loud and they dont sound half as bad as people make them to be.
