Help with bass!

My subwoofer keeps cutting out.

It'll play bass for 30 seconds, then cut out for 10-20 seconds, come back on, then shut off for 5 minutes at a time and then come on for 10 minutes. I can't predict anything...

I checked the fuses, none are blown. The power light on the amp remains on even when the bass cuts out. Power and ground wires have been checked and both are fine. I really can not think of anything... is it possible my amp is starting to die?

ohm out your speakers (possible short)

RECHECK your ground. until you find something wrong with it. then fix it.

Sounds like either a ground problem, or you are running your amp at too low of an impedance. Check the ground, and check the final impedance of your subs at the amp.

The amp is running at 1 ohm and it's 1 ohm stable...

I've been running this set up since last July and it hasn't started doing this until now.

Perhaps one of the wires going to the sub came loose inside the box?

Check everything...Take the subs out and check the coils, check all of the wires, check the grounds.

I hope the sub isn't damaged, but I'll try and pull that bad boy out tonight and check it out.
