HELP! sub not doing anything! (pics)

all i did was connect the two reds, and two blacks and run one of each speaker wire to the speaker wall terminal. their sadered and have electric tape

okay thats not good....... seems like u really dont know what ur doing

like i said, disconnect the speaker wires from the amp. Then measure the resistance at the speaker terminals on the box. Also turn the gain on the amp all the way down. It's probably going into protection from clipping

But do u know the impedance of ur coils?

problem is tho that i cant find it, im doubting wether or not its there
protection mode worries me, why would it do that

yes thats what i did

i found it, and set it at 15, and got nothing

ur settings are set too high, when u had it before at 32v on the speaker terminals it was the max ur amp was gonna push out. If u changed ur bass boost it send ur amp into protect. My advice, is to check ur speaker terminals on the box with the DMM like i told u to earlier (3rd time btw) and make sure its measureing the right impedance, its still possible that maybe ur connections weren't 100% connected.

Check the impedence of the sub via the terminal on the box.

Do u have a lowpass filter on the amp? if u do whats it set to?

also, i just connected the ground wire from the amp directly to the neg terminal on the battery, so it cant be ground problem now, or an amp problem. soooo, the only possibility now is rca cables?

Maybe I missed something here, but should you have your groung wire attached to the chassis or frame of you car? Not running your ground wire from your amp to the battery?

Grounding to the battery is better, If he did the big 3.

Well, do you have you ground running from your amp directly to your battery like you had stated? If so that may be your problem there.

Well I'm not sure about all that, but with him stating this is his first install I doubt he has done the big 3.

ok, i got it working now.

BIG thanks to all who tried to help

there was something wrong with the posts i attached to the speaker wire ends on the inside of the box. i got them changed and its running strong now.
