help, sub amplifier not turning on with new hu

Installed a jensen vx7022 today

When installing, realized the metra wire harness had no blue/white amp turn on wire even though the package diagram showed it. So I sent the blue antenna on wire to the blue on the jensen. I did set the sub to on in the menu. There is 12v present when checking with a meter....but the amp will not power on.

I ran out of time today, I have a few things I can think of to check....maybe connect to the red acc wire?...maybe if I go behind my factory harness, there may be a blue/white amp on wire?

I have a 2004 tundra with factory amp which I bypassed.

Thanks for any help.

Joe

The blue/white stripe is usually for aftermarket amp turn-on directly from your HU so that when you turn on your HU, it should turn on your amp...so as long as the amp powers up fine. Solid blue wire is for antenna remote, some vehicles use that feature. I wouldn't confuse it or even try to attempt to use it as a remote turn on.

I would take that wire harness back and get another that has the blue/white stripe and then use some more blue wire to your amp.
