Help me pick an amp for my PSI platform 2 10'' 2ohm subs

the dc 2k is a nice amp. wired to .5 each sub would probably get close to 1k depending on ur rise. but i would look into a 4k amp if the subs are rated for 1500 a piece.

Have you ran it stable at .5 only specs I can find on it go down to 1ohm

yes i ran it at .5 never had an issue. they are a great amps, efficient as h3ll.

the DC site ''recommends'' a second battery to run that.. Is that going to be necessary for me to push this much power safely or can I get away with just 1 good one?

it would prob do close to 3k @.5. I've only clamped it wired to 1. PM me if you are interested.

I run 1 extra 102 ah batt and my voltage is great.

what size is ur alt? i would recomend a second bat in the back. you wont have to worry about voltage drop much then. i sent u a pm to by the way

lol i wouldnt worry about a second bat then if ur upgrading to a big alt like that.

The sky is the limit on budget... you should NOT be looking to run an amp at .5. That shit is for poor people.

Look at the B2 Audio Zero5. Or Zero1 if you want some headroom.

Just saw that your subs are D2's. Get a 2 ohm amp or get a more powerful 1 ohm amp and run it at 2. Like the Zero1.

JBL makes sick 2 ohm amps.
