Budget - 600 for subs and box
Goal - equal sq/spl maybe a little more spl, still get loud
Power - 5-700w
Car - 23’ tesla model y perf
Decent room it’s a hatch, I was wanting 2 15s sealed as it’s a lot of cone area and wide range of playability

I was going to do Dayton audio classic 15 but they are space was so high and the others are rated more like 800w each

Suggestions would be nice

Not long ago I was looking for a pair of low power 15's to run off 700w. There's not many good options out there. I settled on Dayton Audio DCDCS385-4 15's. I already had a sealed box i ran my sql-15's in and i wasnt too concerned about output in my taurus though.

in your shoes I'd do a single 15 ported. You'll actually gain a bit more output over 2 sealed on the same power. Something like a dayton max x and a flat pack from gp car audio tuned to about 30hz...you'd be golden. That'd be about your budget plus me your goals of a bit more output while sounding clean.

Your referring to the glue it and screw it box? Hmm man I don’t have expierence with assembling a box if it was for me I’d be more on board to trying it but for somone else makes me a little nervous also I’d have to charge him more and spend more time building it

Go car audio has boxes tuned to 35hz you think that’s to high?

Unless you go the used route (or find some amazing clearance deal) you won't find a set of good sounding 15's and solid sealed box for $600. And a prefab ported box won't sound good.

Off the shelf prefabs won't sound good

The box matters more than sub. The greatest sub ever will sound like doodoo in a bad box. A mediocre can sound amazing in a box made for it.

I understand I need to prioritize the box however with the budget of 600 there’s not really an option for a real custom box the closest I can get is GP realistically, I’ve heard one of their frefabs and it sounded fine nothing crazy but it got the job done

Try TEMU.COM for your box. They sell the Qpower brand. Check the measuremeents to see if it will fit in your car. I recently purchased a dual 12 box for my mustang, but I didn't measur for fit.. Super fast shipping if you select the local vendor. I returned mines for free and got my refund. Then you can spend mor on the actual subs. Good luck.
