Help installing processor??????

I have a pxe-h660 from alpine that i want to hook up to (1) T400-4 rockford amp and (1) MRP-M500 alpine amp. Obviously the speakers come next but i am confused on how to run the RCA's here. MY processor has the following:

Subwoofer Output (just one port)

Rear Output (L)

Rear Output ®

Front 2 Output (L)

Front 2 Output ®

Front 1 Output (L)

Front 1 Output ®

There is only 1 slot for the subwoofer output. Shouldn't there be 2? Left and right RCA for the mono amp? I'm lost? Plus i'm a newb to this.

Man your gonna make fun of me cuz i have no idea what that (passive, active) means.

I started from the stereo speaker outputs directly to that processor. Then from that processor it splits to 2 different amps. 1 amp for the sub and the other for the doors (front will have components and rear will have coax). I'm not even sure if that would work correctly but i'll find out.

Do you have any tips or suggestions on where exactly to go out from the processor to get the best sound? I would assume that I should use front 1

and front 2, and then just use the sub out for my amp right? Thanks.

Common man, if your going to run a costly processor at least figure out the basics of it.

Since the whole point of the processor is to run "Active" you need four separate channels of amplification just for the component speakers. 2-tweets + 2-mids

not to mention the two channels for the rear if you choose to run them. Also the sub channel.

Front 1) L+R will likely go to the tweeters (unless manual says otherwise), which will have their own two amp outputs.

Front 2) L+R will go to the mid-range speakers, this will have their own two channels of power.

Rear=rears

sub= splitter (no reason to have stereo on un-locatable sub frequencies) you wont need a splitter on a mono amp just pick a channel left or right. the signal is summed at the rcas anyways.

Active Crossovers = adjustable electronic crossovers (the crossovers on amplifiers for example are active crossovers)

Passive Crossovers = Those small boxes that came with your component set. they are fixed non-variable (you will ditch these because the processor does this with its active crossovers that you have to set) setting the crossovers correctly is a life and death matter for your speakers so do a lot of research into this.

You can make costly mistakes on an active system much easier then a passive system.

Well thanks for your help. I heard a friends, with this very same unit, and it blew my mind. I'd ask him but he's deployed. I should and will do more research. I was fortunate enough to find this site full of professionals, such as yourself, that i figured might help me out some. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
