Hard Hitting Sub

I currently have a type R 12 in a sealed box. It gets pretty loud but doesnt seem to be very accuarate or sound the best. I have tried it in both sealed and ported but like it in sealed a little better due to ported being to boomy. What would be a good sub set up that hits hard. The kind that you feel straight to your chest but doesnt hurt your ears? It almost like a punch in the back. So I guess i am looking for a SQ Sub that hits hard. Thanks

the mmats subs i mentioned are far better than the JLs they're cleaner and will take more power i've owned both

Lets just say, its a VERY promising sub at an affordable price.

If your going to go with w6v2, you might as well get the 13.5" version, put that in a nice ported box with about 800 w rms and it should be loud while sounding good.

I just built a quick box and put in a kilpsch 8in sub that i had laying around and i like the way it hits. a quick tught punch. Only thing that its missing is LOWS. But thats what the type R 12 is for. So what would be a good set of 8's? Same the Jl audio w6's and 7's? anything cheeper? Thanks

OK. I decided to go with a 10 instead of 8's. I searched and found that the Type x 10 as very very good SQ but my question is could I have a alpine Type R 12 and a Type X 10 in the same car if they are in different boxes? And how would both ssound together? Thanks
