i recently put 2 12 inch subwoofers in my van. i was not impressed with how loud they are. I have one 1200 watt amp powering them. i was wondering if anyone had some info that could help me. they are in a sealed box.

they are 12" 1300 watt sony xplod subs with a 1200 watt sony xplod amp

I would say it's not loud because of the subs and amp you have. I would recommend something different, there's a lot better than sony in car audio.

well that's the problem..... ur under powering those bad boys.... ur sub's need 1300w a piece bro.. u need to find a 2600w amp...

I would imagine there are a few things that are the problems. First the "1200 watt amp" is more like 500 bridged RMS and 1200 MAX. The "1300 watt subs" are prob. like 500 RMS per and 1300 MAX. SO if you wanna keep the subs then get a bigger amp. If you wanna keep the amp get 1 12" and port it. Can you give the model number of you amp and subs?

subs 380Wrms amp 380Wrms bridged I think

get you a MJ-18 put it in a ported box and on that amp it will get a lot louder than what you have
