Guy had two headunits in one car

no it had the cd slot and everything i checked it out when i looked cause i thought at first it must have been a dvd player but he didnt have a screen either and it didnt say anyhting about a dvd on it but it definately didnt look like an equalizer it looked like the headunit above it..same exact one.

dont think he had two decks. maybe one was just for looks, like one is really cheap so dat it's used as a decoy so ppl think he has a cheap one.

what would the purpose of this be? he had two alpine headunits and neither was a dvd player...he was a local car stereo shop owner too....
1st if you don't know what it is, how do you know its not a DVD???
2. my only thought is an Alpines Navigation system that you put in a D or a DVD cant remember but its got a whole region on each disc.... Thats the only thing I can think of other than a CD or DVD unit...

Did it look like this? Edit** They have Oldermodels that look more like their headunits**

They are hella expensive, but if he owns or runs a shop, he prolly got the

hookup on it,....

Ok for all you people that dont believe that someone is capable of having 2 hu in their car you are ****ing idiots. Even though 2 head units are piontless in my opinion it is possible and I have seen it before. I knew this guy that had two hu's in his second car back in 1997. He was an idiot but did have nice stereo stuff he would somtimes play both head units at the same time and try to mix different tracks. So yes there are lame *** people that do it

No one said it wasn't possible, at least I didn't think anyone did, but I may have misread it and someone did, but I am not about to re-read the whole thread...

who said it was impossible? no shit its capable...ever been to a car audio store where they have a 100 HUs on one wall and 30 speakers on another...

There are a lot of poeple here who use dual hu's. SOme of them use dual, for tape, CD and radio.

Some use the clarion 935VX for the panel and the denon Z1 for music.

Somee use OEM hu's (the ones that are linked to the ontrol unit) coupled with another hu, since the original one "shouldn't" be messed with.

There are a lot of reasons why people might want to run two hu's. I don't find any reason to though.
