OK as I have been searchin on the forums, it seems its hard to get loud on the inside, because of the all steel trunk, and huge padded seat. As of right now I am gonna be temp. running 1 12" L7 on a 350 Watt RMS Infinity amp, untill I get another L7 and get my 2000 Watt Power Acoustic amp fixed ( //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) My box is 6 cubes at 34 hz, should this work pretty good? I also heard if you take out the back 6x9s and make some "ports" in the back deck it helps a lot? Any other tips? Or pics?

well i removed my rear speakers and deadened my deck and got a little gain.

I made a "ski hole" in my back seats and i got a little gain from that.

for the mercury though, i'd take the back seats out and see if there is alot of metal behind them, if so and you are up to it, then start cutting.

as for the "ports in rear deck i think that is more of porting through the reardeck. There is a thread in the enclosure subforum addressing this exact issue right now.

personally i never got enough of a gain by doing the rear deck and ski hole, even though with both done it was QUITE noticable, now i've figured a way to get 16+cubes in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif so i think i'll be ok.

Well I dont know if I should remove the deck speakers, or upgrade them lol. If I cut the stuff out of the back of the seat, will that make it more uncomfortable? I think Im gonna juss end up removing as much of the back deck is possible and make some type of mesh cover or something.

your actual rear deck is probably nothing but cardboard and carpet, it's the metal under all that you need to mess with. you can really leave the actual rear deck alone. Just take your rearfill out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imo.gif.3a57bcc70a4835dc53e86ffae1a0b041.gif, with 2 L7's back there they probably won't last long

I, nor anyone else has noticed a difference in comfortability(lol, is that a word) and cars like ours are HELLA comfy.

So cut all the metal I can out of everything pretty much, deaden, and take rear fill out? Will it wang pretty good inside the car with the 2 l7s and 2000 rms?

honestly i don't have any experiance with that line, but i wasn't even gonna get my PA 3000db fixed when i thought i killed it, spending 100-200bucks to fix a amp that's barely worth that much isn't worth it.

maybe look into getting the 2400 or 3000db, good cheap power, i had the 3000 running 2 CVR's before it was stolen.

again i'm not sure on your amp but i'd probably just start looking for another way to get cheap power. i personally can't wait to hook my visonik V900hc up again.

Well I got quoted about 120 to fix it, it juss stays in protect mode, like its got a bad ground or something..I think I will juss end up fixin it because I cant get another amp for 120 thats gonna put out as much power, thats worth buyin atleast.

but if i understand the DB being the better that PA has to offer and is still overrated then the amp you have is probably even more so overrated then them.

you are right though, you aren't going to find a suitable amp for the L7's for 120.

Time to start saving for a few checks and bump that budget to 250-300?

Lol I wish im only 16 and dont work much so I can still have a life lol but I plan on upgrading eventually, 1 step at a time. I even on that amp, I should still have a nice street beater.

i understand completly but you have to think about it, spend ~200 on a decent amp or spend the 120 to fix this, AND THEN spend 200-300bucks to buy something that's not a poo-y

being someone with limited income and unlimited people taking money from me, i truly understand not having cash, but doing something right is better then doing it fast.

As far as wanting a loud system in that trunk.... GIVE UP!!!!! It dont happen. My friend had a crown vic, basicly the same thing. I could barely hear in inside the car, but then he got a blazer and put the EXACT setup in there and it wanged pretty good.
