Well i had a 2 ball odyssey and didnt like it much.. Not that i dont like mallett putters, i just couldnt see spending $200 for my first putter, and actually would like to keep it around $100 if possible.. I saw a few ping blades that were pretty nice.. also saw a bettanardi somewhere on the net.. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?? thanks

I have a SeeMore FGP. it's the same putter zach johnson uses. It's awesome. Probably the best putter I've ever had. (I've had 2 scotty's, odysseys)
i really want a cameron.. But basically contradicts why i got rid of my 2 ball mallett. ( price and being a 1st yr golfer )

I got $190 in store credit at Dunham sports, so i would like to just pick up something a lil cheaper , possibly less than 100, then get some footjoy shoes, and some under armour stuff too.. cant believe i paid 200 for a **** putter to begin with , especially my buddy kicks my *** with his $30 walmart putter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

This is what I say.

Go in there, try as many putters as you like. Narrow it down to 5. Know their names and go back in about a week later. Try the same 5 again, and see if you still like them. Eventually narrow it down to about 2-3. Then decide from there. Don't look for the name on the club. You might end up with a club you never even heard before! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Try a Rife putter.
Yea i was looking at these and the Taylormades as well.. Problem is , i really dont know what putter i need to look for .. I mean theres like 3 or 4 different styles ( toe/face balanced, hangers etc ) on 3 different types ( mallett, blade, t blade etc )

And its so **** tough for me to choose in the store on a 50 sq foot indoor putting green.. I mean thats what i did when i bought my oddyssey 2 ball, and when i got it out on the actual course i hated it

To me, it's all about smoothness and touch off of the face. The putting greens are flat as hell, so you can't really judge it off of what you make the most with. I would just go and see what feels the best and take that one home. I also prefer a mallet since it's easier to swing due to the weight, but I have a blade and swing fine with it.

Do they accept trade ins there? Try getting a used putter so it doesn't cost so much out of your pocket.

no trade ins... but there not that smart .. Its not like a nevada bobs.. its just a big sporting goods store, .. I had my 2 ball for like a month and used it probably 50 times, scuffs and grass marks on it , and they still took it back without a receipt ..

Sooo im sure if i didnt like it i could return it... again.. There is a ping that i reeeealy like at nevada bobs for $90, but like i said, I have a gift card for dunhams for my return.. They also have a non "big" name brand one that i liked also, that was $50, and the face was so soft ( with a sort of rubber"ish" compound ) it felt like when i hit the ball it was like a sponge.. But had great reaction,

yea its tough to get the right feel... I am a moron tho.. totally forgot about the biggest putter selection of them all.. At the pro shop at my golf course.. maybe they will let me try a few of them out..??
