Thats right. The mallets have more weight and more MOI. It kind of just flows in your hands, but they are harder to control (more pushes and pulls) and harder to get the distance right. Blade FTW. Tiger uses a blade...To me, I have to help push the blade through the ball some. Where with a mallet, it mainly moves itself due to the inertia. All I really have to do it pull it back and keep it in a smooth line.

question.. some malletts i tried were much lighter than blades, but it does make sense in a way tho.. With the mallett having the weight behind the ball more would give you a "through the ball" hit, while the blade seems to be dead weight at the end of the shaft that seems like it wouldnt follow through the ball as wellThats right.
