Olive oil un-virginer
Yeah, but if everyone's price is high, customers who want the product have no choice for a cheaper option.
If the tahoe frame is similar to the silverado and has the same room inbetween the cab and frame for the mount then I don't see why not. iirc when i found this information it was for a military grade chevy van but the frame is the same as the full size trucks. I'm pretty sure the tahoe frame is similar as well, besides being a little shorter and a different frame for the bedJZ designz on FB has dual brackets for $200-220. I know a friend running their quad bracket and he doesn't seem to have any issues.
There's one mechman dual bracket left but they're pretty high. $400 for them. We're having a 10% off sale on mechman right now but it's still even higher than the DC and JZ options.
I wonder if there's a battery tray like this for an 04 Tahoe like mine? It would be really convenient as I can already fit 2 batteries under the hood and that would eliminate the need for the 2 batteries I plan on keeping in the back.
The issue here is sketchy dealers with unsustainable margins (people with no business who just drop ship things in their spare time) sell things so cheaply that they barely make any money, and it greatly damages legitimate businesses profits to the point where many of them have to close up shop due to not meeting overhead costs.i prefer capitalism
Inserts, metal, tool holders, taps..im betting it doesnt cost any more than $40 for them to make the bracket and buy the OEM quality pulley, they're killing the prices on purpose so thats why i said eff it unless i can find one cheaper
If we were talking about it being whored out for less than 5% margins then I could understand that, but seeing that I'm not a taramps dealer i dont give two damns currently so ill tell you that $300 you make on the 20k's is absurd. even whoring it out for $600 would still net you a pretty penny and you'd sell A LOT more stock. The issue here is sketchy dealers with unsustainable margins (people with no business who just drop ship things in their spare time) sell things so cheaply that they barely make any money, and it greatly damages legitimate businesses profits to the point where many of them have to close up shop due to not meeting overhead costs.
Sure I could sell something for a $5 profit and its better than "not making a sale." But now I have to make 20 sales to make the same money as a $100 margin product and it ends up being a race to see who can have the lowest price. MAP ensures that the dealers get a sustainable margin and it's a level playing field which is beneficial to both the dealers and manufacturers, which trickles down to consumers in the long run. It becomes a question of "who has the best service" rather than "who's willing to break the dealer agreement and be the cheapest with no concern for ethics" when MAP is followed.
much of that is a one time cost. let's be real here, if it was mass produced the cost couldn't possibly go over that - not like GM engines are uncommon, many many many vehicles share the same setup.Inserts, metal, tool holders, taps..
Cost more then 80$ then production costs are more.
Its more then just the metal.

Its a photo online, but the mount can be purchased from the dealership.yep thats it good stuff, is that your truck? or did you find this online
All our trucks share the same size frame, but it wont matter if it shows so long as you cover the terminals or make a tray cover.yeah in the link i posted earlier today they have the part # for it, i might buy one or see if i can get my hands on one to check fitment. im concerned it'll show because i have a body lift and some of the frame shows.
the aux battery tray fit like cake so im sure this will too
