MB W203 - steering wheel controls necessary?

Hello!

I want to install a radio in my 2003 C180 that don´t support steering wheel controls. It is a Denver car radio.

I guess I just leave the upper, bigger iso-plug, unplugged then.

I wonder, do all the buttons on the steering wheel stop work if i do this?

On this car the oil check is on the dashboard, controlled by the steering wheel controls, so don´t want to lose this.

But the volym and next track control is not necessary to me.

I would be very happy if someone could answer this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not sure how your stock HU differs from mine. But I installed my double din and was able to retain my steering wheel controls.

If you are not worried about retaining them, then the only thing that wont work is the Audio portion of the dash (such as track #) and bluetooth. Your normal steering functions should stay the same.
