Give up 15 for smaller sub?

ya, i think i need to look at what i can get for the solo and go from there. it was new when i got it..only ran on 500 rms tops and in a sealed 1.5 cuft box. not sure what it would bring. no cosmetic problems at all...works flawlessly. any idea of market on these?

i saw the re 12 on ebay for 160 shipped new i beleive...not bad for what it looks to be.

sorry if i sound like newbie here, but i have been out of audio loop for some years..last large setup i had was my soundstream setup when Spl170 subs first came out and the rubicon amps....few smaller setups since...but there is just a ton of new brands now that i am just not familiar with at all.

Well, i tried another amp i have that has always been a workhorse for its size. i hooked the sub up to my cerwin vega vega3200 amp yesterday. i beleive it is rated 320 bridged rms at 4 ohm...but with vegabass turned on like a 3db gain. anyway, the sub sounds louder and hits harder than on my us acoustics usx1000d amp that puts out 500x1 at 4 ohm rms......whats that all about? haha

my next step is to try on my ppi PC2100 amp and see how it does on the sub. im starting to think that maybe i need to find an amp capable of 6-750 rms range 4 ohm to run this solo off of and maybe i can be content with it?

it does sound better on the vega amp though then the US amp....

So hook up the PPI and see if it reaches the level of output you are lookign for.

otherwise a RE SE with 1k on it is gonna wang prety good. plenty of options just keep us updated like you were.

Especially if budget, enclosure, or amps change.
