Give me some mid woofer ideas

What I'd say do, if you want the best results from whatever driver you choose is to find out how much internal volume you will have to work with roughly especially since the midbass and midrange will be in the door and need to be sealed off from each other. After you see how much space you have, start looking at drivers and see what type of enclosure they like best, sealed, IB, vented....and go from there. If you really want an 8, find one that likes the enclosure you will be giving it.
Think about it like buying subs. Are you gonna suffocate a bunch of 15s because they'll "fit" or maybe get smaller woofers and use them to their full potential?
It will be sealed if it has to be. Basically the whole pocket area and up to the arm rest will be its "box" The mid range will be in the same factory spot but glassed out flush

So, the midbass will be towards the back of the door sorta beside the seat, right? Have you thought about using the stock location, with some customization if you go with an 8, and then going to the kicks for the midrange?

I just can't see that being a good spot for the 8. But, of course, I'm no expert. I would think the 8 should be out in front of you too, just like the other drivers. What midrange will you be using anyway and how high do u plan to run the midbass driver?

Its about in the knee area. Im keeping the HSK woofer and i got the bigger tweeter. the mid bass will be right beside the factory spot. I got done wiring them up active a little while go. They freakin scream now. Im running the 450/4 in bandpass set at 70hzish, the rear channel(tweeters) control the CO point. The midbass will have its own 300/2. Ill move the HSK mid up to about 120-140 and let the 300/2 cover down to the sub, about 65hz.

Im still tweaking them. I wont know till I get the sub box in next week. They are strong but i dont know if they are strong enough. Active is tricky, who would have guessed
There's always EQ work you can do in the lower midbass region to help out and T/A works wonders for midbass. I'm tellin ya man, I think you're thinking about this in the worst of the worst case scenario. I don't think the extra driver is necessary at all. At the level of SPL you'll have at full tilt, I cant think of ANY midbass driver that will keep up. But, at low to moderate volumes those HSKs especially on the power they're getting and being designed to work IB in a sealed car door, with some good tweaking will keep up. I think you're just gonna complicate things more than they need to be by adding another midbass in there especially to run with a 6.5 and tweet.
