this is my first year competing, although ive been into car audio since i was able to drive.

i hit a 153.9 with "one" hifonics goliath 5k (bought from ron gooding)

and my highest of the year was a 155.2 on the glass sealed and legal



a 150. bass race trying for the 149

i do believe that the build of a car and how things are put together mathematically vary from car to car, and seeing how a lot of people on here dont have the same car and not the same person puts in all there equipment then yes there is going to be variations of opinion on how different things will sound, then at that its up to your ears to tell you what sounds good and whats not, EVERYONE has there own differentiated opinions and theres nothing to say about whats right and whats wrong but to go by what you've been told, and to test and fail untill you find what fits your needs. theres always going to be clashes where people think there right and arguments will occur, its human nature dude....

I wasn't referring to you, I was referring to the OP.
And, external ports react the same way internal ones do in terms of length versus tuning. The only difference between then is in the fact that external ports do not interact with internal enclosure volume.

Well then, if it was a genuine question, yes a longer external port will tune lower, all other factors staying the same. No, I didnt see the other thread, but it doesnt change how external ports work.

Again, other than not affecting internal enclosure volume, internal and external ports react the same and have the same effects on tuning.
