so it appears that everyone has their own opinions and knowledge based on their own experience in the car audio world.

so who's right and who's wrong???

seems that there is a lot of shit talking on the forum and the ones talking it have mediocre systems and are handing out advise as though they KNOW.

well... I'm going to challenge your theory so you can prove it to me, that way i can use Logic and Common Sense to determine how accurate the information is.

its easy to read your books and know about something, but putting that knowledge to use and function is a whole different world when your not in a lab where your tests are predetermined and you're following directions.

to innovate is not to re-create. so when you see someone going off the chart maybe you should pay attention!

Coming from mr longer port always has a lower tuning him self!
you really are serious, you dont believe that adding length to a port will lower the frequency of a box?

this is exactly what i am talking about,

GET IT OUT YOUR SYSTEM....

Lets hear it!

im right youre wrong/ thread

on a side note, do you have anymore of those goliaths for sale?
i will have 2 of them in about 2 weeks when the shop is done with em. i want to keep one though for the 4 12s im building and putting in my crx

i just wonder if i should take away some port length to RAISE MY frequency of the box....

according to some jackass.....

adding port length wont lower the frequency....

so taking port away should surely not raise it either:laugh:

so i guess i'm ****ed when i go to take out 18 inches of port on my box in the van to raise the frequency...NOT...

Depends if you take loss of volume into account //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the longer the port the lower the freqency, keep it simple!

same opening with a longer port will produce lower freaqency... especially when the box hasnt been built. but still works when you have an existing box.

It depends on context. If designing a box you are correct, but moding a built box can put you in a spot where you have the same tuning with less volume.

it will lower, try it, then tell me it didnt lower the frequency. either way...
