Ok I just got an Alpine CDA-9855. I want to tune my 4 in car speakers so that they play everything but bass. I want only my 2 subwoofers in the trunk to play bass. The only audio settings this deck has is using an equalizer or crossover. I am lost as to the correct settings and the manual doesn't explain well. My question is what is a good hertz or dB to set my 4 in car speakers at so they don't play bass and my 2 subs at so they only play bass? My equipment is the following:

2 Front Speakers--Pioneer TS-A1781R, sensitivity is 91dB, frequency response--28Hz ~ 30kHz

2 Rear Speakers--Pioneer TS-A6871R, Sensitivity--90dB, Frequency Response 30Hz ~ 28kHz

2 Subwoofers--Not sure of all specs but they are Visoniks with a 500W max rating

Thanks way in advance for helping out!

Use 2-way mode. Set the HPF for the front and rear (MID and HIGH on your HU) to about 90Hz, 12dB/octave, 0dB level. Set the LPF for the sub (LOW on your HU) to the same, 90Hz, 12dB/octave, 0dB level. You can adjust the settings up and down to tune the sound more to your liking, but that's a good starting point.

Ok awesome, thanks for the quick input. One quick question you say 12dB/octave and then 0dB level, I don't get that? I didn't see a setting for octave just a equalizer tuner with an up and down scale of 0dB to -12dB and Hz settings from 80Hz to 200Hz

Okay. Thank you so much! I will run individual power / ground wires to each amp. If the front of the car has no dedicated spot for tweeters, what...

You will need distribution blocks for the amps I would run 0 gauge to the blocks and 4 gauge to the amps. For the head unit I would us one that...

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.
