Are most comps SVC or DVC? Or does it just vary from name brand?

Usually they are SVC.

i don't think I've ever seen dual coil comps. Unless you include 8" woofers.

comps are Svc most of the time, maybe your thinking of subs, subs usually come in Single or Dual coils.
