BUCK FAMA
I wish I had known this. the BP's around here have a sign saying they do not add ethanol to their gas, and the price is the same.
Switchgrass is supposedly the best...Corn ethanol sucks from an acreage yield perspective...sugar-derived ethanol is better, but we can't sustain a sugar industry here without some massive tariffs to keep Brazil away. They're really the leaders in sugar ethanol.
Biodiesel really is a better alternative, can be processed from many more sources that won't potentially compete with food crops.
Wouldn't that be false advertising?Even if the gas pump says non- ethanol, it still has some in it:fyi:
Wouldn't that be false advertising?
Hmm?People and businesses and governments do it all the time. That's what makes the United States so great![]()
thisYea I really don't think a legit gas station would risk advertising 100% Gas when it is indeed, not 100% gas...
Ethanol is a bust when using corn, sugar cane supposedly has 7 times more ethanol production. Thus, more efficient. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

I believe someone in Alabama found that the kudzu vine produces ethanol. It grows a foot a day. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Hell, gasoline sucks the efficiency out of the world. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rage.gif.0ad8a6e5565b5fddce406566fdd05149.gif

But if you ask me, none of the above is efficient enough from production to the road. Now, EV's are.
Well... it originally started in an attempt to lower gas prices... but they put ethanol in and kept the same price.yep ethanol has less energy potential then gasoline, its basically the oil companies "jewing" you.....
