Gain Setting Question

Okay I finally got the chance to install my new T1 rf1000bd amp, and I set the gains with an multi meter and everything but I didn't bother hooking up the remote bass package that comes wit the amp because im not sure if i want to use it cuz I wanna know does this solely defeat the purpose of me setting the gains?

No it has nothing to really do with the gains, however it is bass boost, which aint all that great. Use it if you want, I wouldnt use them myself, but thats my personal opinion, however theyre handy for turning it down quick for something, or just adjusting the sub volume quickly.

Its basically just a very small say 2 band EQ that boosts or minimizies a certain frequency or frequencies.

that would adjust your bass boost, which would throw off your gain settings.

i don't use it just because i don't like how the bass sounds with the boost on.

If you set your gains then add the bass boost to it the output of your amplifier will increase.

Bass boost defeats everything after setting gains, the gains are set to give you non clipped signals, but bass boost gives a higher output, which inturn sends clipped signal to the subs/speakers. Watch the video.
