gain problem

I have a Orion 600D running in 1ohm running 2 subs. while setting my gain I turned the knob all the way up and it reads at 21.3v and according to my calculations its supposed to be around 24.4v. How can I make it get to 24.4? Does my alt need to be changed? I have a stock electrical system on my 98 accord. I think it is 80amps.

What HU are you running? What volume level did you have it set at? What frequency test tone were you using? Was it a 0db test tone? What were the crossover and level settings on the HU and amplifier set to?

I'm running a alpine cda-9826. Volume set to 3/4. Ran a 50hz 0db testtone. HU crossovers i turned off and amp lpf set about 75 hpf set to about 32.

is the Subwoofer control on your headunit at max?

I'm using a Testtone that i uploaded to my ipod that is connecte to the HU. Could this be the problem?

i had my sub level on max when i set mines, just a safe way to be sure i wont clip it
