take a christmas light builb (the one with 2prongs) and between the batterywire and fuse have them touch and the light should lightup then blowout because its way 2much power. my buddy showed me that little trick and it doesnt make a spark at all

I fried an old US Acoustics USA2200 in a similar fashion and bought two new replacement mosfets from parts express for something like 4.95 each and soldered em in and the amp ran for as long as i had it after that which was like two years.
