Ok I am a little worried / stressed right now cause I think I just blew my KAR 900.1D amp... Here is the story

Last night I was driving around spirited and my subs moved and the connections (speaker) got undone and might of shorted on one another. Either way my subs stopped working sometime last night, this has happened before and my amp just goes into protection mode

Today I go out and take a look and neither my amps prot or other light is on, after double checking connection I look at the fuses and find the fuse that is in the inline power (+) to the amp is blown. I go get replacement fuse and try to snap it in, immediatly my amp starts smoking so i remove the fuse... the amp put out a ton of smoke...

Now I do not know what to do. I tookt he amp out and looked inside and everything appears fine except some black on some connectors. I want to go hook it up again and try it out but what went wrong? How do I connect it back to power? Here are some pics of the amp

Take the amp and throw it in the trash, it's toast. Unless you feel it's worth the $150+ to fix it. You can find 900w at 1 ohm pretty cheap though.

well im just going to try and connect it again so what are the steps

I disconnected the neg pos on my batt... connected ground to the ampa nd power (with fuse out) now do i put fuse in first... then connect to neg back to batt.. or do i connect neg to battery then put the fuse in

Ok, who cares who's a noob or w/e, can someone tell what the correct order it is? Everyone starts somewhere, and how are we supposed to know if there's more time spent attacking, flaming, cutting down than actually answering the ****ing question?

I'm curious too, what's the correct order to hook up amp to power supply?
unhook negative lead to your battery ( ie the ground for your battery )

run all your wires

hook up positive lead to amp first with fuse inline

hook up ground lead to amp second

reconnect ground at battery

should minimize sparking
